500 Group Teesside Running Day 2019
On Sunday 28th April, Teesside based charity and bus preservation group The 500 Group held its annual Running Day at the Middlesbrough landing of the iconic Transporter Bridge.
One of our resident guest vehicles, Leyland Atlantean 680 GBB516K attended the event - adding a bit of Tyneside PTE to the Cleveland Transit area.
The Running Day features buses though the eras and from wide afield, with many featuring on the shuttle services to Middlesbrough and Stockton throughout the day. The group also offer two country bus tours during the day to Great Ayton and Stockesley.
Atlantean 680 is now under new ownership of the David Warren family, so was the first rally that they have attended with 680 as part of their family. The weather was superb, with the Warren family enjoying their first rally with 680.

NEBPT North East Bus & Coach Show
For the past two years, the NEBPT's North East Bus & Coach Show had been held at Spillars Wharf in Newcastle after been relocated from its usual site of the Metrocentre Coach Park. However, due to rejeneration of the Newcastle Quayside, the show returned to the Metrocentre.
A busy event this year with annoucment of its return to the Metrocentre, THV attended with group-owened Scania 413 JFT413X. 413 has been off the road for three years with various fuel niggles, but after a new tank and pipes she is performing better than ever.
Enthusiasts were pleased to see the return of 413 to the rally scene, and hope to take it to more events this year as long as she behaves!

NEBPT Durham Vintage Gathering
One of the more favourable events of the North East rally calendar is the Father's Day rally at Durham's Howlands Park & Ride site. Often attracting more attendees from the County Durham, the event still attracted a mix of vehicles from around the North East area.
Guest Atlantean 680 GBB516K attended the rally, which was one of three Tyneside vehicles to attend.
